Worth it
What Sharon would tell you
Hyaluronic acid is a humectant, which means it pulls water into the skin. It can make skin look plumper and feel softer, especially when the skin is dehydrated.
The catch is that it pulls water from wherever it can get it. Apply it to damp skin, then seal it with moisturizer. Multi-weight formulas are more useful than a single form because they hydrate at slightly different levels.
